Happy hump day everyone! Today's post is about one of my favorite designers, Kelly Wearstler. She is some kind of something in the interior world and I love her. Kirk got me her newest book, Hue, for Christmas and it is totally inspiring. I love the her wacky style and use of color. Some of her stuff is god-awful, but nonetheless, it is already giving me ideas! The girl has my dream job...she not only has one of the most sought after design firms, but she designs textiles and wallpaper for Schumacher (and others, rugs for the Rug Company) and also has a line of accessories at Bergdorfs. Hello, she's amazing.
Ahhh! Look at all that trim!
P.S. Does anyone know of any great flea markets in Little Rock? I am dying to snoop around some shops while I have people here to watch my little guy. Any recommendations would be fabulous.
Hi everyone! I hope that you had a very merry Chirstmas! I don't know about you, but I saw a few snowflakes falling here in Little Rock. We had a great time with Shep's first Christmas morning. Lots of pictures and video going on!
My mom and are about to hit the town in search for antiques and a second vehicle for the Meyer family. We are on the look out for a mid sized car for Kirk. If you know someone who wants to get rid of a Camry, Maxima or Altima, give us a holla! Whew, car shopping is for the birds.
I've decided that I will start doing an "Ode to colors" starting today. We will begin with yellow. Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Sorry this is so late, but we're officially in Arkansas! Woo hoo!
I wanted to update how my last painting of the year turned out. It ended up being one of my favorite pieces yet.
Please contact me if you or someone you know is in the market for art! I have a small waiting list, but I'd love to contact any prospective clients. I picked up four huge canvases yesterday from the art shop, so I am excited to start a new year of work after the holidays!
Hey everyone! Only three more days until Christmas! I have been in bed sick as a dog all week. I would have posted from bed, but our router broke the other day and my bootleg connection from our neighbor just wasn't bootlegging.
Here is how our Christmas card came out this year. The photography was done by our close friend Aaron Cave. You can contact him and see his work here. Thank you Aaron...you're the best!
Here are my favorite pics from the shoot.
Merry Christmas from the Meyer family! We are waking up really early tomorrow morning around 5:00am to travel to Little Rock. So, my next post will come from Arkansas! I can't wait to get home.
Hey everyone and happy Friday! What plans do you have for the weekend? My little love bug gave me my Christmas present early and it is a cough. So, we may be missing out on a few Christmas parties this weekend.
I saw these photos online and loved them. This is Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning's little sister. Isn't she so cute? I wish my hair could do this. Only a few more inches to go!
Have a wonderful weekend, the next week is Christmas! Which means we'll be in Arkansas...I can't wait.
I am a full time mom and and a part time artist living in Dallas. I am in love with interior design and most anything that has to do with fashion. You will frequently find me at estate sales and antique shops around the city. I started blogging as a way to store all of my files and create a digital inspiration book.
