In honor of Domino...

Happy Friday everyone! It is staring to feel like fall, which means our house is freezing already. Out with the space heaters! Shepherd slept until 9:30 this morning...is that normal?
In honor of the late Domino Magazine, I am posting pictures of it's former contributing editor's home, Rita Konig. Do you all miss Domino as much as I do? I miss it so much it hurts.

What are you all up to this weekend. Our schedule is pretty laid back, and I am so thankful. The Meyer and the Cave family (our great friends and next door neighbors) are going as a joint Wizard of Oz. Bess is the Scarecrow, I am the Tinman, Ruthie is Dorothy, Shep is the Lion and Lily is Toto. I am trying to get Kirk to be the Wizard, but all he can think about is the Rangers. I let you know how it goes!

Until Monday...

Rooms to love

Good morning all. I am trying to get this post up early because we have a big day ahead of us with much to do. I am getting so distracted because my love bug over here keeps chatting it up with me! Here is a series of pictures of a house that was featured on Design Sponge that I love. I hope that you enjoy them too!

These rooms are totally decorated with my color palette.
Love.

Five months

Hey everyone! Happy hump day. Today marks the fifth month of the little man who has stolen my heart. I love you, Shep.

Sweet boy.

Oh!! Did anyone see the Dallas news last night? H & M is officially coming to Northpark!! Yes! I knew it! Thanks for the tip, Kimmie!

Art for Again...Again

Hey guys! Can you believe that November is almost here? And it's still so warm outside...as my friend would say, "that's cray cray!" So, my weekend went as planned...I got some artwork done and the Rangers won the pennant! Go Rangers! My other paintings that I featured last month sold at the shop Again, so they asked me to do some more and here they are.

Series One:

Series Two:

Which ones do you guys like better?

Busy

Happy Friday everyone! I am sorry that I have been out of pocket the last few days! I'll be better next week! Is anyone watching the Rangers? Oh my goodness...Kirk is, how shall I say this...EXSTATIC!! So here's to a fantastic weekend and hopefully the home win.
I plan on getting some painting done this weekend and dropping them off at Again Design Studio. Wish me luck! What are you all up to this weekend?

Pictures for Monday morn

Good morning everyone! Today is another beautiful day! The garage sale was a giant success...had so much fun with you Claire. We did it!

I can't wait for Shepherd to wake up so we can go on a walk along Lakeside. It is my favorite place to be in Dallas. In Genesis, the writer speaks about "the Spirit of the Lord hovering over the waters". I think of Lakeside as my mine and Shep's little place where that is true. Here are some beautiful pics from around the web.

Pumpkin patch

Happy Friday everyone! I feel like this week has flown by. I took a break from garage sale prepping to go to the Dallas Arboretum yesterday afternoon. It was such a beautiful day. If you live near Dallas, you should take the trek and check it out. It was so fun. Here are a few pics from our afternoon.

What are ya'll up to this beautiful weekend? My husband is traveling to Auburn in an RV with his buddies from college...he is totally in his element. Isn't that hilarious? Wish me luck on our garage sale! Oh, and my bed finally sold...yipee!
Until Monday...

Reunion recap

Hey guys! Sorry for the elongated absence. I have been trying to get ready for a garage sale that I am having with a friend this weekend. I absolutely LOVE going to garage sales and having them myself. But, I always forget how much work they are. All that to say, that is why I have failed to post until now.

The reunion was really fun. I am really glad that I went. It was really crazy being back in my little hometown....something strange about having a memory at every corner. And on my way home as I traveled under a perfect crescent moon, was behind a Con-way freight truck when Adele's "Hometown Glory" song came on. She sung,

Round my hometown, memories are fresh
Round my hometown, ooh, the people I've met
Are the wonders of my world, are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world, are the wonders now.

I thought that was the perfect ending to the occasion. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

All I had was my honker camera, so I didn't take any pictures in the actual reunion.

Where will the next ten years take us?

Class of 2000

Hey everyone! I am sorry that I haven't been posting much this week. One of my best friends is flying into Dallas tonight and we are going to drive to Little Rock tomorrow for our ten year high school reunion? Have you been to yours yet? I am excited! It will be fun to see old faces and spend a few days with my best friends. So here's to ten years and Conway High School!

Apparently Conway is #1 in the state this year.
Go Wampus Cats!

Since I will be traveling and hanging out with friends, I'm not going to post the rest of the week.

Until Monday...I'm off to Memory Lane

Curtains completed

Good morning all! Isn't this weather fantastic? Fall is officially here and I am loving it! My trip to Austin was really good...so fun to meet Brody. Have you all been to Austin lately? There is a new outdoor shopping area called the Domain. We went and walked around and had appetizers and drinks on a patio Saturday night. You guys should go and check it out. Also, this weekend I finished my kitchen curtains (at midnight last night). Woo hoo! After completely dismantling them from my first attempt, I think they turned out surprisingly okay.

Hurray for a project complete. I was blessed this past week by selling a few paintings, but, that means that yet again my walls are so bare! I guess I need to get to painting. I'll keep you posted!

Until tomorrow...
