Nice and nude

Right now I am really into nudes when it comes to artwork. I just love them. Some of them can be too much, but non-discrete pieces can be amazing. Here are a few that I really really love. You may see some of my own interpretations of these in the posts to come. Enjoy!

Etsy attention

I opened a shop on etsy last week to have a more traffic-hitting way to sell some of the things that I have found and redone. Chinoiserie Chic actually posted my link on her blog today! So fun! You can visit my shop, Made Lovely here

Here are a few of the items that I have available right now on etsy. Stay posted...there is more to come!

Go check out my shop. The items are moving quickly!

Kiddie food

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was pretty packed. We went  to a birthday party on Friday (great party, Amy!) and the drive in on Saturday. It was really really fun, but really cold! Shep did great. He slept through the whole thing, with only a minor outburst. I would for sure go back.

Today I wanted to share some really cute ideas on how to feed your kiddos. I am right in the middle of introducing solid foods to Shep and he is not having it. Maybe if I made some cute plates like these for him to try?

Aren't these so cute and creative? What can you come up with?
Until tomorrow...

House updates

Happy Thursday! I haven't posted anything about my house in a long time, so I wanted to give a little update. For Christmas I asked my mom and mother-in-law to help me fix up my dining room a bit. I used to have a chest in this space that is now our TV stand, so I needed something for this bare wall. My parents bought the lucite console and Kirk's parents got us the yellow garden stools. I absolutely love how it turned out. Mixed with a garage sale find lamp and an agate rock on an isle, it is now my favorite part of the house.

Last weekend when Kirk, me and Shep were on a walk, we came across an estate sale that turned out to be a treasure trove (thanks for the tip, Amy!). I bought the most amazing couch, two club chairs and an awesome bamboo stand all for around $175. I can't decide if I should keep the chairs because they need some major TLC. I got the acrylic tray at an estate sale for $5.00 and the accessories in Arkansas at different shops for under $40. The lamp was found at a flea market a few years ago in Fayetteville and I got the coffee table at White Elephant here in Dallas a few months ago. A buyer is supposed to pick up the couch tonight. All that to say, here is my updated living room!

Arwork and heart work

Happy hump day everyone! It is absolutely beautiful outside. Kirk came home to work on the porch, so he and Lil are outside together. Shepherd is asleep in his room. And as I was spending time with the Lord today in the uncommon still room, I just had a sense of quiet peace and joy that I am so thankful for. It has been a bit of a stressful month for me, but knowing that Jesus lives to intercede for me and knows how I feel in the midst of every situation is such an amazing truth. And it moves me to trust and obey. How do we even begin to grasp the Father's love? Have you ever felt it? Ask Him. I keep asking Him to show me.

And here are some completed pieces that I finished this week. Enjoy!

And my naked lady, whom just might be one of my all-time favorites. I was sad to see her go.

Until tomorrow...

Love some Gwenyth

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that your day is going well so far. Isn't it always difficult to start a new week? Well, today I bring you one of my favorite actresses, Gwenyth Paltrow. Don't you just love her?\ I think she is stunning and can do no wrong in my eyes, fashionably. Well, except for her 1998 pink princess Oscar dress, but she had a rough year that year, and hello, she won. However, I must say that her last performance on glee was a bit disappointing for me. As a retired sex education teacher (yep, I was) I absolutely hated the agendas that were flashed all throughout that episode. I mean, she's a mother for goodness sake. So, for that reason and the fact that it really can't be pleasing to the Lord for me to watch it, I'm going to take it off my DVR. I love the music, but I just can't do it anymore. Way too many terrible messages flying out to young people, and adults for that matter. However, in the spirit of a lovely actress and a fashion icon, I give you Gwenyth...

Love this dress.

Love is in the air

Happy Friday one and all! I am so ready for a fun-filled weekend. We have a rehearsal dinner tonight with friends followed by a wedding tomorrow night. It seems like I haven't been to a wedding in so long. I LOVE weddings. I love everything about them...friends, food, drinks, dancing...love it. So, in the spirit of love, I leave you with this...

Until Monday...

Nine months

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! These pictures of Shepherd are about a week late, but here they are. My little man is 40 weeks and I can't believe it. Some things that he is up to these days are crawling around like a maniac, babbling all day long, starting to pull up on things, and tormenting Lily. He loves cords, electronics and door stoppers. Whew...he is a new child.

And the monthly pose...

He's getting so big! Too big. I love my little honey bee.

Until tomorrow...

Imprisoned sickling

Whew, am I glad that the last few days are over! I never want to eat a salad with turkey on it again...ever. I still feel a little weak and out of it, so Shep and I are housebound, something that I really don't like to be. So, as far as being prisoner to my house, I thought I'd post these fun pictures of famous people in black and white striped shirts. Enjoy!

Food poisoning and the Bachelor

Happy Tuesday everyone, but not so much for me. I ate something bad yesterday and was sick all night with food poisoning. I have never had the stomach bug before, let alone bad food. It almost ruined the Bachelor finale for me last night...almost. Yeah, for Emily! I like her and to be honest, I usually don't like anyone on the show. I just think that she is normal for once. Go girl!

And good for you for taking your hair and make-up down a notch, sister!

I'm ready for season 16! Come May come!!
Until tomorrow...
